A few different attempts and I landed on this version, which not only did I love, but my mom a proclaimed sprout hater, agreed was delicious. Splitting and roasting the sprouts is the key to cutting their bitterness, while the classic combination of garlic, lemon, olive oil salt and pepper makes them so much more than a side dish. It's funny, kids and brussels sprouts, I think it's just one of those things as we grow our taste in food changes.
